DESCRIPTION:Location: Laszlo Funtek\n\nGo behind the scenes in Banff Centre's beautiful dance studios while witnessing the creative process of the participants and faculty of the Indigenous World Dance residency.\n\nThe three-week Indigenous World Dance residency brings together Indigenous dancers from around the world to deepen their artistic practice and connect in a supportive\, collaborative environment.\n\nFaculty members Peter Rockford Espiritu\, Taane Mete\, and Santee Smith will lead you from studio to studio as the dancers perform short but impactful choreographic excerpts.\n\nIn this Open Studios event\, their time at Banff Centre—which has involved workshops\, daily warm-ups\, and one-on-one mentorship—culminates by inviting the public to view their works-in-progress.\n\nBanff Centre for Arts and Creativity is excited to bring together world-renowned musicians\, artists\, and writers\, as well as passionate audiences for the 2026 Banff Centre Summer Arts Festival. Running throughout May to September\, the 2026 festival invites audiences to experience a season of artistic discovery of over 100 free and ticketed events.
